Final Countdown (Sky) is a beautiful milker from Grande Ronde dairy in Oregon. We are lucky enough to call Stephanie a friend and in the process of doing repro work and growing our sable herd had the opportunity to assist at her dairy with delivering a large group of IVF recipient does! It is fun when commercial and performance worlds bleed into each other and working with a large group of commercial recipients to deliver top performance genetics is such an amazing experience.

When Sky was born I was quietly hoping I could bring her home to Midnight Milkers 100% based on her cute pink nose and striking black coloring and was thrilled when Stephanie allowed me to choose her! A color based choice isn't always the best but in her case it worked out, she's grown into a beautiful and productive yearling milker who is mild tempered and easy to work with.

 

Sadly due to an abdominal injury summer of 2026, she was emergently dried off to give her fore udder time to heal and hopefully with some time off will see a show ring again! She will stay as a valuable brood doe regardless.
